Haven't used it yet? Meat spice set recommended by meat professionals

The Meat Guy's Original Mixed Spices come in three varieties: Steak, Taco & Chili, and All-Purpose. Each has a different blend of herbs and spices, so we'll start by explaining the differences in flavor and examples of how to use them.
Steak Spice
Steak spice is a punchy spice mix based on salt, pepper, garlic powder, and onion powder that goes perfectly with steak.
The spices are ground with care, using a mix of small and large spices, allowing you to fully enjoy the flavor of the spices when you put them in your mouth. The spices also have a distinctive pungent flavor, along with the aroma of herbs from dill seeds, basil, paprika powder, mustard seeds, coriander, and cayenne pepper.
Simply sprinkle this steak spice on both sides of your steak and grill it to instantly transform it into an American-style steak!
Taco & Chili Spice
Taco & Chili Spice, as the name suggests, is a Mexican spice that can be used in tacos. It is based on salt and garlic powder, giving it a strong garlic flavor. It also contains a blend of paprika powder, cumin, pepper, cayenne pepper, sugar, and oregano.
This reddish spice looks just as spicy as it looks. It's moderately spicy, but the sweet and spicy flavor of the chili spices blends in, making it more than just hot; you can enjoy a spicy taste. Be careful with the amount you add. It's great for seasoning tacos, as well as finishing off arrabbiata and adult-style spice curries!
Almighty Spice
This versatile spice is a blend of salt, pepper, garlic powder, thyme, mace powder, basil, paprika powder, parsley, oregano, rosemary, and sage!
The unique herbs blend together to create a refreshing flavor that is not too strong. We recommend using tomatoes, which pair perfectly with this spice, in meat-wrapped dishes, stewed meats, or fish dishes!
3 recommended meat recipes using spices
Now that you know the differences between the three types of spices, let's try using them in cooking.
From here on, we will introduce meat recipes using spices! Mixed spices can be used on their own, but they can also be combined with other spices to create more flavorful dishes, so try using two or three types together depending on the dish.
Hamburger steak (All-Mighty Spice)
It's just a hamburger steak, but it's still a hamburger steak. Even though it's a home-cooked meal, the more you pay attention to it, the closer it gets to the ideal deliciousness. The hamburger steak I'll be introducing today is made with only beef and uses all-purpose spices. It's seasoned so that it can be made into a hamburger steak by putting it between bread.
- 500g ground beef
- 2/3 finely chopped onion (about 150g)
- 3g salt
- 1 teaspoon All Mighty Spice
- <How to make>
-
- 1. Fry half of the onions in a frying pan with olive oil (1 teaspoon) over medium heat until golden brown, then let cool.
- 2. Place the cold ground beef, raw onion, sautéed onion, salt, and all-purpose spice in a bowl.
- 3. Place the mixture on top of a bowl of ice water and quickly knead it with one ice cube until it becomes pale and sticky.
- 4. Divide the mixture into 3 equal parts and shape them into oval shapes. Hit each oval 3-4 times against the palm of your hand to remove the air and create a depression in the center.
- 5. Heat a frying pan with olive oil (1 tablespoon) over medium heat, and once hot, add the hamburger steak.
- 6. Cook for 4 to 5 minutes, then flip over once one side is browned. Cover and cook over low to medium heat for 5 to 7 minutes.
Jambalaya (Taco & Chili Spice)
It may not be a dish you're familiar with. Jambalaya is a type of Cajun dish (a local cuisine from the Mississippi River area of Louisiana in the southern United States) and is said to have originated from paella. Like paella, rice and ingredients are fried, then water is added and cooked. While paella is primarily seafood, jambalaya is primarily meat-based and characterized by its spicy flavor. In the original version, it is cooked in a special pot, but this time we'll introduce a version of jambalaya that can be made in a rice cooker.
- <Ingredients> (for 2 people)
-
- 2 cups of rice (if there is any water left in the rice after rinsing, it will become watery, so it is recommended to use unwashed rice)
- Two Meat Guy original fresh sausages
- 1/4 onion
- 1 bell pepper
- 1/2 yellow bell pepper
- 1 tablespoon olive oil
- 200cc tomato juice
- 2/3 teaspoon salt
- Water 160cc
- 1 tablespoon Taco & Chili Spice
- <How to make>
-
- 1. Rinse the rice and drain thoroughly in a colander.
- 2. Cut the raw sausage into 1cm chunks, cut the onion, green pepper and paprika into 5mm cubes and fry them in a frying pan with olive oil over medium heat.
- 3. Once the sausages are cooked through, add the rice and stir fry.
- 4. Once the oil has coated the rice, transfer it to a rice cooker and add the tomato juice, salt, water, taco and chili spices, mix well and cook.
- 5. Place on a plate and sprinkle with all-purpose spices (or Italian parsley) to finish.
jerk chicken
"Jerk" is a Jamaican dish that means "seasoned with spices." In addition to chicken, pork and shrimp are often seasoned with spices and grilled in the same way. Our jerk chicken is characterized by its spicy and piquant spices. We've blended our original taco and chili spice mix with steak spice to create an authentic taste.
- <Ingredients> (2 servings)
-
- 2 chicken thighs (approx. 600g)
- 1 tablespoon olive oil
- ○ 1/2 tablespoon taco spice
- 1 tablespoon steak spice
- ○1/2 teaspoon salt
- ○1 teaspoon sugar
- <How to make>
-
- 1. Make shallow cuts in the chicken thighs to allow the flavor to penetrate well and prevent them from shrinking during cooking.
- 2. Put the chicken thighs and the ○ ingredients in a bowl, knead together and leave for 10 minutes.
- 3. Add olive oil (1 tablespoon) to a frying pan and heat over medium heat. Add "2." skin-side down and cook until golden brown.
- 4. Turn over and cook until golden brown.
Great with other dishes besides meat! Recommended dishes that are delicious just by pouring it on

Mixed spices are great to just sprinkle on dishes other than meat!
First, let's start with potato salad. It's delicious just to pour it over a simple potato salad, but if you pour the mixed spices over a hearty warm potato salad with chunks of bacon and minced meat, the aroma of the spices will stand out even more.
It's also perfect as a light addition to ramen! Steak spice is recommended for ramen with soy sauce, miso, or salt flavors. Taco & chili spice goes particularly well with miso, salt, and pork bone flavors. Be careful not to eat too much of this slightly spicy ramen (lol).
You can also pour it over seafood or vegetable fritters! The hot, crispy batter and the aroma of spices are sure to be a perfect match. For taco and chili spices, we recommend mixing it into the batter before frying!
This time, we've introduced how to use Meat Guy's original mixed spices, how to arrange them, and dishes that go perfectly with them for a delicious addition. All of the mixed spices come in large quantities, so they'll last a long time even if you use them in a variety of dishes! If you love spices and herbs, you'll definitely find them useful. Be sure to give them a try.
