DESCRIPTION

If you've ever wanted to make your own sausages this is a good starting point. This is a natural pork casing on a pipe. The size is approximately 34/36 mm, this is the size we use for our pork sausages.
Please note that the size can vary due to this being natural casing. One pipe is about 6 meters, enough for around 4 kilos of sausages, depending upon how often you link. These come salted so all you have to do is rinse and then soak until soft and you are ready to stuff. This product cannot be shipped Frozen!

*CANNOT BE SHIPPED FROZEN! This tears so easily when frozen.

SERVING SUGGESTION

1. Rinse the salt off from it with water.

2. Soak this in water and a bit of vinegar for 30min.
*This will get rid of the smell and makes it soft and hard to tear.

3. Rinse the salt off again.

TEMPERATURE

It lasts about 6 months as long as it's salt-cured and kept refrigerated. (After rinsing, use within 2 days)

SHIPPING

*CHILLED SHIPPING ONLY! It tears so easily when FROZEN.

THAWING

Thaw frozen products slowly at low temperatures.
If thawing in ice water, the recommended time-length is about 4 hours per kg.
If thawing in the refrigerator, it takes about 24 hours per kg.
You can thaw it while in the package, but the package may open during thawing, causing leakage, so we recommend double-bagging or thawing on a tray or bowl.
